Initial Phone Call
I offer a free 10-minute phone consultation to discuss the reason you are seeking therapy and can answer any questions you have.
First Two Sessions
I see the first two sessions as a space for you to get a sense of how it might be for us to work together. During the first session, I will do an intake to learn more about you and your reasons for coming to. see me. During the second session, we will begin the therapy process and you’ll get a sense of how you feel in therapy with me.
Ongoing Sessions
You will guide our sessions and I am here to support you when you feel stuck. Some people feel comforted by having a person paying close attention to them, while others can experience some pressure or discomfort. I invite you to bring these feelings into our work and we will confront them together.
Fee
My fee is $250 for a 45-minute session for individuals and $300 for EMDR sessions. I accept payment at each session in various forms for your convenience. I offer limited sliding scale slots for clients.
If you’d like to use health insurance, I can work with you to understand your coverage. While I do not accept any insurances in-network, therapy is often partially reimbursable depending on if you have out-of-network insurance coverage. At the end of each month, I will provide you with an invoice containing all necessary information for reimbursement from your insurance provider.
Questions to ask insurance to determine your coverage:
-
Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage for outpatient mental health services?
-
If so, what is my deductible and have I met any of it yet this year?
-
After meeting my deductible, at what percentage am I reimbursed for each session?
-
How do I file a claim for reimbursement? Can I submit online or is there an address to which I send the claim?
